Herr Neas said on Nov 17 @ 4:05pm i thought it looked like a contestant shot for love connection. i'll place myself in comment time-out for a while
Scrivener said on Nov 17 @ 4:10pm Oh, sorry. I guess I was being slow. I'm gonna upload a new one anyway, so in a minute both of our shames will disappear.
Herr Neas said on Nov 17 @ 4:11pm agreed
Eirikr said on Nov 17 @ 4:29pm Gene Simmons would be proud!
RyanHale said on Nov 17 @ 4:39pm i think Mexico is crazy too.
Scrivener said on Nov 17 @ 4:41pm Up above "Mexico" is one of Frida Kahlo's prints, so it gets even crazier.
RyanHale said on Nov 17 @ 4:45pm By the way, I see your daughter is fond of Belle. I always thought Belle was the hottest Disney character. She's a brunette, she likes to read, and she likes big hairy men. What else could you ask for?
Herr Neas said on Nov 17 @ 4:47pm you're on comment fire, hale!
Scrivener said on Nov 17 @ 4:51pm Good one Ryan.

Yeah, we have way too much princess crap in this household. Somehow, I'd expected the girls to be tomboys but so far, nope.
KC Jones said on Nov 17 @ 4:54pm Hale: Belle's kinda hot, but she is French, so that might mean she doesn't shave the pits or legs...you know white girls are weird like that.

And, yes, I realize I made an insane generalization there...and I stand by it. :)

Oh, and for the record, I met Belle a little over a month ago at Disney. We got my daughter in on the Princess Lunch where we got to meet Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Ariel and Cinderella...when Cinderella walked out, I thought my daughter and my wife were gonna pass out. Apparently, if the Disney Princesses were The Black Panthers, Cinderella would be Huey Newton...so that was a big deal.
KC Jones said on Nov 17 @ 4:55pm Scriv, I know how you feel...I'm fortunate that I have a son to balance things out around here.
Ozzy Nelson said on Nov 17 @ 5:01pm They love you now. Just wait 10 years and they'll turn on you. Just click on my name.
Scrivener said on Nov 17 @ 5:06pm KC: My problem with Belle is more that she seems attracted to that guy who, though hairy (which is great of course), seems to be a stereotypical abusive boyfriend. And she thinks she can rejuvenate him with her love. _Not_ a good role model for little girls.

Ozzy: Yeah, I saw your picture before and ... um, well ... had no idea what to say in response. It is a creepy picture, which is cool. But also creepy.
Ozzy Nelson said on Nov 17 @ 5:29pm Stay tuned...tonight is my 16 year old's turn.

webelrino said on Nov 17 @ 5:56pm Good point (about Belle), Scrivener. And great crazy tongue photo!
RyanHale said on Nov 17 @ 7:32pm Scrivner, I do not have kids, so I don't think about things in those terms, but it is a good point. But if I were ever to get it on with a cartoon character, Belle would still be the one.
General Lee said on Nov 18 @ 2:20pm scriv, first off you need to know that ryan lies. lies about just near everything. he in fact has two children. xerxes and mephisto.

my wife would freak out if she heard me talking about kids, but part of me looks forward to kids so i can spoil them with princess gear as well. does that make me gay? more than likely. regardless i often stop by the disney store and am impressed/scared that they have such a marketing, money making behemoth as the princesses. no idea why they didnt start that earlier.

the Disney Princesses ( in order of who i'd nail first)
1. Aurora - just super classy. she would either be fantastic, or a whole in the mattress
2. Ariel - w/out fins. she rocks the sea shell bra
3. Belle - hot in a WW2 dutch milkmaid i just liberated from nazi oppresion way
4. Snow White- she reminds me of rose mcgowan so yes
5. Cinderalla - she's down with mice, which is kinda freaky
6. Jasmine - i'm afraid i'd get sand in it
Random Woman said on Nov 18 @ 5:58pm Hey, General Lee, I think you are right on target. The princess gear is all about making little girls into sex objects. Hurray for Disney. They know how to commodify the female body.

I had never really grown a beard before this contest, and I discovered over the four months that it wasn't really about growing a beard at all. I've never been around a group of guys who were so creative, cool, supportive, smart, and just all around fun to be with. Thank you all for this fantastic experience.
