camrox said on Nov 20 @ 9:27am i'd be concerned if my third-grader incorporated a sleeping bearded man into his dino-rama.

Herr Neas said on Nov 20 @ 9:42am thanks guys! this was a very fun shoot. i'd like to thank kate for painting, arranging and shooting the scene. i also thank her sister maggie for her and dan's hospitality this weekend in dc. and none of this would've been possible without camrox's canon.
no go take pictures of yourselves playing pool or some other leisurely pursuit if you want to win the achy breaky sweepstakes!
eightbitonline said on Nov 20 @ 9:42am MVB. it's dino-riffic.

Justie Just said on Nov 20 @ 10:26am you're ridiculous.
chester the... said on Nov 20 @ 10:31am wow man that's awesome, and I agree with geezer though you indeed have too much time.
Justie Just said on Nov 20 @ 10:41am If you had done this with gummy bears you could wake up and angrily eat them.. that would have covered you for a good week's worth of pictures.

Mackle said on Nov 20 @ 10:42am Herr Neas is the new Mason Poe
Corey said on Nov 20 @ 10:54am Magnificent, man! Surely and MVB, sir.
Herr Neas said on Nov 20 @ 10:57am thanks again, guys. mackle, that's high praise indeed; i hope i live up to it.
tomorrow will bring another v.i.b. i might not have enough ideas to continue that series through friday, so send your suggestions to herrneas@yahoo
and go take an achy-breaky sweepstakes picture!
Jim Elliott said on Nov 20 @ 11:00am Best photo yet.
Ozzy Nelson said on Nov 20 @ 11:19am Hands down MVB! I would like to know the budget was on this one.
JHops said on Nov 20 @ 11:21am love the pterodactyl and clouds.
Herr Neas said on Nov 20 @ 11:24am good thinking ozzy. just updated the budget in the profile--it might seem a little high, but i've got plans to re-use several items. and i work at an elementary school, so i can always find good homes for extra supplies
Paul said on Nov 20 @ 11:26am the dedication is unprecidented. definivitely MVB material.
Paul said on Nov 20 @ 11:26am .. and the back hair ... glorious
Davis said on Nov 20 @ 11:26am you really broke the bank on this one. you went all out on a sunday picture... sure-fire way to get an MVB, i'd say.
Herr Neas said on Nov 20 @ 11:29am paul--that's chest hair. i'm on my back
davis--yeah, i was just really passionate about this idea and figured i could either use everything again for another picture or at school or while playing with my nieces. and i hope no one thinks i'm trying to buy any awards with today's budget!
Davis said on Nov 20 @ 11:37am pssh. you're totally paying someone off.

$7.84 for finger paint, face paint, bucket o' dinosaurs, moss, and trees? More like $7.84 for BRIBES!
Herr Neas said on Nov 20 @ 11:42am hey mackle--this is all tax deductible, right?
davis--ok, you got me... so what'll it cost for you to keep this on the q.t.? i've got a sweet cassingle with your name on it!
Davis said on Nov 20 @ 11:50am man, i think not sending me that cassingle would be bribe enough.
James Milholen said on Nov 20 @ 12:03pm *whistles* wow..s'all i got to say is wow.

Patrick said on Nov 20 @ 12:47pm Definitely MVB. When I saw the thumbnail, I was really hoping this was what it was. You did not disappoint.
D a v i d B e a n said on Nov 20 @ 1:27pm premature congrats on yoyr MVB. I think i would have to skydive nude encased in a jello mold to steal your MVB. and even then you would still get it.

i wish i could give you more than 5 stars.
McShortsington said on Nov 20 @ 1:29pm oh I am psyched...maybe too psyched.
Eop Nosam said on Nov 20 @ 2:12pm Yup 5*... The NEW Mason Poe has topped the old Mason Poe.

Sasquatch said on Nov 20 @ 7:00pm I too am impressed with artistic impression. Are dinosaurs allergic to the land on the furry mountain to the right in this "Land of the Lost" tribute?
General Lee said on Nov 20 @ 7:08pm herr, this is my most favorite photo of the entire 20 days so far.
Patrick said on Nov 20 @ 7:09pm This really has taken Whiskerino to a whole new level. Way to transcend the genre, Herr Neas!

Braided David said on Nov 21 @ 12:47am you are definitely the coolest 30 yr old i know.
Herr Neas said on Nov 21 @ 3:37am thanks a lot!

i have to thank everybody that made this picture possible during my visit of our nation's capital this weekend: kate for the set-up and taking the picture. camrox and lc for lending me their canon. kate's sister maggie and her future husband dan for making me the best meal i've had in some time.

i'm stoked to get the mvb and break the goose egg, but more appreciative of the nice comments and esprit de beard that's building already. I look forward to the rest of the contest.

dreams can come true. i am living proof. thank you whiskerino!
Scrivener said on Nov 21 @ 3:43am Somehow I missed seeing this pic when I was on yesterday evening, and boy am I sorry about that too, because this is simply amazing. I mean, they've all said it already up above, but this picture is surely deserving of an MVB. In fact, I think you should just upload the same pic again today and it'd win it for a second time.
James Milholen said on Nov 21 @ 4:21am congrats on the MVB, u realy deserved it
gillian said on Nov 21 @ 4:50am yep congrats. though I still feel more drawn to General Zod.
joy said on Nov 22 @ 6:05pm Well done, Herr Neas!
When I saw the HP movie over the weekend and saw Dumbledore's, naturally I thought of whiskerino.

thanks to mackle for making it happen and to relative theory records for sending out the call.
i must thank my sister for the use of her computer and camera and her tolerance for nonsense, my nieces for their support and participation, my mom for costumes and my dad for appearing in and taking some fotos.
thanks to all my hosts on the goodwill tour and all those who came out to help show me a good time in their towns.

although many of my later costumes were courtesy of my mom, i only spent $32.78 on wardrobe, plus a $15 gift certificate to premiere costumes. please support your local novelties/costume shops and thift stores.

i am indeed proud of some of the pictures and feel like i did accomplish something here. i 'm also proud of my perfect attendance. but most of all, i'm proud to be a part of this community. after all, i'm just a guy living in his sister's basement with a camera and a dream.

see you soon
