Jim, a moustache is a moustache - solo. If you've got a beard and moustache - then you've got a beard, not just a moustache. It's one of those things where if you feel like you might be stretching the rules, you probably are.

The soul patch is totally acceptable. It's encouraged that you just go full on moustache with nothing else but a little lower lip balance never hurt anyone. Last year I rocked a little chin hair along with mine and there wasn't much of an uproar.

The dude from Orange County Choppers most definetly has a stache. If you can pull that style off, you'll be an inspiration to us all.

No, I have enough for a 'stache now... I want to know what is not a 'stache... I mean can one rock a full beard? The 'stache is still there?

I think I'm gonna hear only 'stache, but is a soulpatch acceptable to pull off a mean White Goodman from Dodgeball impersonation?

Also, how far down can the 'stache descend from the lip? I mean is that crazy dude from Orange County Choppers count as a stache?

I am so on the fence with this... I'll probably end up doing it just for the community, but I'm gonna hate it (in a love/hate way).

There are roughly 7,400 images in the database (7,395 to be exact) that could be culled for the Random Beard image. The code does not specify that the Random Beard can not be the same as the MVB image. Ryan earned 4 MVB's during his tenure in Whiskerino 2005.

Discuss.

posted: 04-05-2006
Patrick says:
Ryan: Do you mean the same image twice on one pageload (i.e., showing up as MVB and Random Beard)? If so, does Random Beard ever display an MVB? I haven't seen one. If it doesn't then the probability is zero.

If it does, then the probability depends on the person, and is based on (a) how many MVBs the person has won, and (b) the total number of uploaded photos in this competition. Let's call those variablas A and B. Then the final probability is simply (A/B)*(1/B), assuming the "Random Beard" is effectively random and does not depend on the picture chosen for MVB.

someone figure out the probability of getting the same image of yourself twice. with the number of contestants, the number of possible photos for the random beard, the number of possible photos for mvb and having them be your own photo, the chances have to be fairly low.
